COVID-19 Update/Restrictions

Reopening news - 70% double dose vaccination target almost achieved!

At Melbourne Orthotics we are dedicated to continuing to provide our patients with the essential care they require during this time. We are very much looking forward to welcoming our patients back to our clinics as we emerge from lockdown when Victoria meets our 70% double dose vaccination target next week. We remain restricted by DHHS and the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA) as to the number of patients we can see and will be following a one person per four square metres density quotient.

We are awaiting confirmation from the DHHS/AOPA of the exact date of reopening but we anticipate that we will be open from Monday 25th of October.

We ask that all patients/carers please use our QR codes to check in, sanitise your hands (or wash with soap in our bathroom) upon entry.

**In order to ensure we meet our density quotient only the patient receiving treatment and absolutely essential carers will be allowed to enter the clinic when we reopen. Please also arrive no more than five minutes prior to your appointment to avoid congestion in common waiting areas. All patients and carers must wear a well-fitting face mask covering their nose and mouth entirely at all times. Please also respect our clinicians and administrative staff and maintain 1.5 metres distance from them when it is practical to do so.

Our in-hospital care continues and remains unchanged.

We understand that many of our patients have been waiting a long time and we apologise for any inconvenience the lockdown restrictions on our industry have caused but please bare with us as we navigate the changes as we reopen, we expect to be very busy as we try to see all those who have been waiting so patiently the last few months.
